1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using World Energy Market ("WEM", "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including buyers, sellers, and visitors.

2. Platform Description

WEM is a digital marketplace that acts as an intermediary between buyers and sellers of renewable energy projects and equipment. WEM facilitates, but does not guarantee, transactions between parties. WEM is not a party to any purchase or sale agreement between users.

3. User Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • All information provided must be accurate and current
  • One person may not maintain more than one account of the same type
  • WEM reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion

4. Intermediary Role

WEM acts as an intermediary and facilitator. All communications between buyers and sellers must go through the WEM platform. Users agree not to:

  • Share contact information (phone, email, social media) through the platform
  • Attempt to circumvent WEM to conduct transactions directly
  • Use information obtained through WEM for purposes outside the platform

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension and forfeiture of any pending payments or commissions.

5. Buyer Terms

  • Offers submitted through the platform are subject to WEM review
  • Buyers must complete due diligence before finalizing transactions
  • Equipment purchases are subject to the seller's return policy and WEM's minimum standards
  • Payment must be made through WEM's authorized payment channels

6. Seller Terms

  • Sellers must complete the verification process before listing
  • All product/project information must be accurate and not misleading
  • Sellers agree to WEM's commission structure as outlined in the Seller Agreement
  • Sellers must fulfill orders within stated timeframes
  • WEM reserves the right to moderate, edit, or remove any listing

7. Fees and Payments

  • Marketplace sales: Sellers pay a commission (3-5%) on completed transactions
  • Project deals: A success fee (1-3%) applies on closed transactions
  • Subscription plans: Recurring charges as per the selected plan
  • All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated
  • Payments are processed through Stripe and subject to Stripe's terms

8. Intellectual Property

All WEM content, design, logos, and software are owned by WEM or its licensors. Users retain rights to their own content but grant WEM a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and promote listings on the platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

WEM is not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of listed items, the truth or accuracy of listings, the ability of sellers to sell items, or the ability of buyers to pay. WEM's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by the user in the preceding 12 months.

10. Dispute Resolution

Disputes between users should first be resolved through WEM's internal dispute resolution process. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled via arbitration in Istanbul, Turkey, under ICC rules. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey.

11. Modifications

WEM reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
